Message from our Division Director, Marcia Waters, for those renewing this year and receiving an audit letter:

There is not a deadline as far as when the information (copies of course certificates) must be submitted, but it has to be submitted before the licensee will be allowed to renew.

The USPAP Update Course Audit is based on the DATE OF THE COURSE COMPLETION NOT USPAP VERSION.

COURSE SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES

This is the 7-Hour USPAP Update Course, as developed by The Appraisal Foundation.  The course focuses on changes to USPAP for 2020 and 2021 and on appraisal issues that affect daily appraisal practice.  The Course will present and explain the new revisions to USPAP effective from January 2020 through December 2021.  It will address those areas of USPAP that are most commonly misunderstood or questioned, and it will present "real world" scenarios that challenge participants to interpret and apply USPAP to situations they encounter in their daily practice.

Each section will cover the rationale for revisions and additions; discuss changes, provide “In the Real World” examples; and utilize topics covered in the most recent FAQs released by the ASB addressing changes to the 2020-2021 edition of USPAP, as well as other topics related to “Everyday Appraisal Issues".
